The activities carried out on site, inherent to the construction sector, involve several risks, which may result in work accidents when the necessary measures are not taken to guarantee the safety and health of workers.

In order to minimize the occurrence of accidents, and based on Decree-Law No. 273/2003, of October 29, a coordinator must be appointed in matters of safety and health during the execution of the work.

Occupational Safety is a set of methodologies that aim to promote and protect workers in their workplaces by reducing and, if possible, eliminating the occurrence of Work Accidents and Occupational Diseases. This reduction/elimination is based on the identification, assessment and control of risk situations, providing a safer and healthier work environment for employees.

With the current demand for sustainable development, it becomes necessary to adopt strategies that allow control of environmental aspects.

Thus, the environmental and waste system aims to control environmental aspects, through a structured and planned approach, involving the entire structure of an organization, equipment, products and processes that cause or may cause environmental damage, implementing a proactive improvement process.
